Brother's Keeper is the first single from the forth coming CD "Songs For My Father" by songwriter/producer, Lionel Crawford. Some of the songs started out as personal ideas from a songwriter's approach, that were then "mended and blended" from an Artist's/producer's point of view. The end result was presented to you the listener, according to Lionel. Brother's Keeper is musically very upbeat. An African six placed over a continuous four on the floor sets the rhythm. The guitar is bluesy while a hint of Funk is expressed by the slap of the bass; however, it is the message delivered by the voice that will make you pause.

Teecha starts off by telling you to “leave all the stress and the worry behind, forget about your troubles, turn off the TV and radio...it’s kadooment day, so come le’ we go” So whether it’s Brooklyn’s Eastern Parkway for Labor Day, Spring Garden Highway for Crop Over in Barbados, Toronto for Caribana or Carnival in Trinidad, it’s sound advice, find a truck and wuk up.
